PXY SJ Q+A

Hey everyone,

I'm finally back from my time off after the birth of our 2nd daughter Alexa (thanks for all the well-wishes, BTW), and I wanted to get everyone caught up on what I know about 98 PXY Summer jam a couple of weeks ago.

Here's what I know:

-It was WILD (if you got in).

-Some listeners didn't get in.

-There were many counterfiet tickets on the streets, and you should proceed with caution when buying anything off of Craigslist (especially when the cost of a ticket is $0.00).

-Many who did not get in, are rightfully upset.

-We ARE going to make it up to ALL of you.

Hopefully, you still have your tickets.  They will come in handy when we announce our plan here in a couple of weeks.  I'm not allowed to say EXACTLY what we're planning, but if it all comes together, I highly doubt you will be disappointed.

Until then, feel free to use this blog post as a forum to ask questions and I will do my best to answer each one of them.

Please know that we put a ton of work into 98 PXY Summer Jam as a way to thank you for listening.  We would NEVER do something deliberately to upset our listeners and fans.  YOU make us what we are!

  • Not to sound totally rude but, you sound totally rude.


    Honestly, all we have tried to do for the past month is put a party together in a short amount of time with PXY artists whom our listeners might want to see.  We offered a time period for listeners like yourself to exchange last months tickets for next months show.  Hundreds of loyal and dedicated PXY listeners did just that.  I'm pretty sure none of them will be disappointed with the experience of 98 PXY Summer Jam at Frontier Field. And what has come from this?  We're bringing in an artist in Flo Rida who has multiple #1 hits NATIONWIDE and and artist who is accustomed to headlining tours around the WORLD in Boys Like Girls.  In short, world-class talent. Though we try our best, apparently we can't please everybody ALL the time.


    Have fun listening to 106.7.  When you realize you are listening to a jukebox that isn't programmed to Rochesterians, we'll still be right here.

  • I won tickets for my kids and my husband did as well.  We were unable to get in to the first summer jam, but I was confident the station would more than make it up to all the consumers who were unhappy with the station.  Now it sounds like Flo Rida, Boys like Girls and Jessie James are coming.   Not to sound totally rude, but I (and my kids) have NO interest in seeing these performers.  What a waste of my time and my kids emotions.  I think we'll move the dial on the car's radio and permanently set it to 106.7, they don't seem to disappoint their listeners like 98 PXY.
