Help, what would you do?

So what do you do when someone you love becomes completly dependent on the person they are dating.  reguardless of this person being a friend or family member, would you tell them your concerns even if it means ripping a huge hole in the bond you have?  the constent texting, calling and "random" meetings when you happen to be out and about.  do you think it's healthy to be that dependent on one person?  I understand falling in love and being in love, but does that mean you have to push away the friends and family time that person used to make time for?  IDK what to do about this, telling that person seems to be a big risk, and even though i am quite the risk taker, i'm not quite sure i want to take That big of a chance....

 

got any advice oh great internet world?

  • First she is my sister whos dating this guy. it's not that the relationship is bad, she just tends to drop everything when he comes around.  the kicker is he asks her not to and she does it anyway.  they have been dating for over a year, so i guess the relatioship is still new.  i wouldnt say im jealous of her, i just don't enjoy being pushed aside just because she could be spending her time elsewhere.  it's frustrating i think thats the whole of it.

  • Sometimes it's best to allow space.  That person may realize wtf is going on and decide that it wasn't meant to be...resulting in going back to the old familiar friend and family time.  The question is...Will you be there for that person if and when that happens or will you go on your own way if it takes too long for that person to realize? 


    Sometimes in life we need to make our own mistakes to learn from them...They are called "life lessons".  I understand the emotions that go with feeling like "second best" but the obsession will either die down...or they will fall madly in love, get married, have children and live happily ever after...and who wouldn't want their friend or family member happy?


    Three more questions...


    1.  Is this person that she (or he) is dating safe for she (or he) to be around?


    2. How would you feel if you were the person dating that loved spending time with that person and your friends and family gave you a hard time about it?


    3.  Are there underlining feelings on your behalf such as jealousy that is making you so upset about this "obsessed dating ritual" aka...spending "too" much time together?


    I hate to say it...but it doesn't sound like that strange of a situation AND...eventually this new thing (how long have they been dating?) will die down...but will you still be there?  Innocent
